Wood & Whitacre Contracting, LLC was established in 1985.  We are a locally owned and operated partnership with offices in Frederick Maryland, College Park Maryland, and Port Republic Maryland.  Our services include Residential and Commercial Roofing - shingle, metal, slate, tile, cedar shake, and low slope roofs - and any type of roof repairs.  We install and repair guttering, siding, and roof ventilation.  We are also experienced with porch posts/columns, railings and many other home exterior services.  We are fully licensed, bonded, and insured.  We will supply a Certificate of Insurance upon request for any customer.  We are licensed with the state of Maryland and bonded with the District of Columbia.  We use a variety of high quality materials mainly supplied from ABC Supply Company, Superior Distribution, The Roof Center, Bradco, Home Depot, and Lowes.  We are certified with Certainteed for our shingle roofs, Firestone and Mulehide for EPDM, Modified Bitumen, and Self Adhering Roofs. We offer excellent workmanship guarantees on all new shingle roofs and on all new flat or low-slope roofs.  We have an excellent list of references which we will supply upon request with all new estimates provided to customers.  Our estimates are always free and we never pressure sell  to anyone.


Michael Arrich
Michael is our supervising lead foreman and manages all work done here in the Frederick area. He started working at Wood & Whitacre in 1992.   He has worked in the construction industry for over 30 years.  He has a broad knowledge of all aspects of roofing and construction projects.  This knowledge base comes from many years of hands on experience, attending classes offered by our suppliers, and attending seminars from major shingle and flat roof manufacturers. He personally goes out to give bids, make repairs, and manages all projects.


Donna Whitacre Arrich
Donna became a partner in 2001.  She now has many years of on the job experience in the construction field.  She has taken courses through shingle and flat roof manufacturers to gain knowledge about the materials and she has attended seminars provided through our suppliers.  She goes out with Michael to give estimates as well as helping on the job site.  She also does the office work in the Frederick office and when you call Wood & Whitacre to set up an appointment you will most likely speak to Donna.
